Keep God in Schools

I keep seeing Facebook news posts or whatever-they're-called that friends of mine have joined the group (cause?) "Keep God in Schools."

I have a few thoughts about this:

1. We, as a Church, seem to have a "Keep God in Schools," but "Keep Christian Kids Out of them," mentality.

Actually, that's kind of my biggest thought. There are thoughts that flow from that, but, that's kind of it.

that's about the coolest thing I've read or heard all day. and I just watched the debate and 15 minutes of post-analysis.

actually, it's not cool, but it's cool that someone pointed it out.
Well, I think you have a good point, Amy. But I tend to fall on the public school side of the debate. And actually, "tend" isn't quite right - even though I get that homeschooling or private school is good for some families, I don't believe it will ever be right for mine.

Wow, great point!
Ironic that I came by to talk to you about this.
I am starting a blog theme on my blog about seeking the Lord in schooling. I have you linked on my blog because of an entry on public school you did a while back that brought me to your place.
Feel free to take part if you like. I hope to bring women together on the subject of school instead of dividing them.
Thanks!

I just had a friend invite me to sign my daughter up at a private Christian school. I declined, but couldn't figure out how to explain to her in simple words...this totally conveys what I wanted to say.
